The Goodness of Your Will (A prayer for today)
Good morning Father, I praise Your name
You are the God of all and have been from the start
Lord God my Savior, Emmanuel
I need to share with You, what’s weighing on my heart
My world has changed Lord, and I’m afraid
So I have come to You to help me find my way
Lead me through the storms, and endless nights
And let me feel Your arms around me every day
CHORUS:
Let me rest here for a while, in the comfort of your love
Let me lay my troubles down and just be still
I know you have a plan for me, and even though I can not see
I know that there’s a purpose all my burdens fill
and I will rest here in the goodness of Your will.
Lord I have loved ones, who don’t believe
I try to teach them of Your grace but they can’t see
Please help them Father, to hear the Truth
And know the love you have for them will always be
And Your healing touch, is needed now
For the sick and dying praying You’ll come through
Could You ease the pain, and calm the fears
and send the perfect peace that’s only found in You
